You can look up traffic tickets through the Arizona Public Access to Court Case Information system. This statewide database includes all six Navajo County Justice Courts. Search by name, case number, or citation number.

Results show case status, charges, and court dates. You can see fines owed and whether MVD has placed a hold on your vehicle registration. The search is free. New tickets may take several days to appear after filing.

The Navajo County Justice Court page has contact information for all six courts. If you cannot find your case online, call the court listed on your ticket for assistance.

Paying Navajo County Traffic Tickets

Navajo County Justice Courts accept online payments through nCourt. You need your citation or case number to pay. The system accepts credit and debit cards. A convenience fee applies to online payments.

Paying your ticket means you admit responsibility for the violation. Points go on your driving record. You cannot attend defensive driving school after paying. If you want to contest the ticket or take traffic school, contact the court before you pay.

In-person payments are accepted at any court location. Most courts take cash, checks, and credit cards at the counter. Court hours vary by location, so call ahead to confirm. You can also mail payments by check or money order to the court address on your citation.

Note: Some violations require a court appearance and cannot be paid online. If your case does not show up in the payment system, contact the court.

Tribal Jurisdiction in Navajo County

Parts of Navajo County fall within the Navajo Nation and other tribal lands. Traffic tickets issued by tribal police on reservation roads typically go to tribal courts, not Arizona Justice Courts. However, state troopers and county deputies can issue tickets on state highways that cross tribal lands, and those citations go to Arizona courts.

If your ticket was issued by tribal police, it will show the tribal court information. Contact the tribal court directly for those cases. Tickets from Arizona DPS or Navajo County Sheriff on state highways go to the nearest Arizona Justice Court even if the road crosses reservation land.

Interstate 40 Traffic Enforcement

Interstate 40 runs through the northern part of Navajo County, passing through Holbrook and near Winslow. This is a major cross-country route, and Arizona DPS patrols the highway actively. Speed enforcement is common, especially in construction zones and near exits. Tickets from I-40 usually go to Holbrook or Winslow Justice Court depending on where the stop occurred.

Out-of-state drivers receive many of the I-40 tickets in this area. If you got a ticket while passing through, you can pay online without returning to Arizona. Contact the court if you need to request a hearing but cannot travel back. Some violations require a mandatory court appearance and cannot be resolved by payment alone.

Nearby Arizona Counties

Navajo County borders several other Arizona counties. If your traffic stop was near a county line, check your ticket to confirm which court has your case.
